David opted to try hitchhiking. Though few cars traveled this secluded road, he knew some would pass eventually. It was a matter of patience. With resolve, he positioned himself by the roadside, watching for vehicles. Fortunately, after just five minutes, a car appeared in the distance. Hopeful, David waved his arms to catch the driver's eye.
David learned that even in tough spots, a bit of patience and initiative can sometimes pave the way to a solution.
