Russia's Yasen-class submarines excel through their combination of velocity, concealment, and armament systems. Incorporating a dual-hull construction, these nuclear-powered platforms can descend to greater depths than numerous Western equivalents. They mount eight torpedo launchers for contemporary weapons, anti-vessel missiles, and hypersonic strike missiles. The Yasen-class employs a spherical sonar configuration and sophisticated signal analysis, permitting simultaneous tracking of up to 200 contacts. Its titanium pressure vessel and advanced sound suppression methods achieve quietness levels comparable to the most sophisticated Western platforms.
