Meet the Cat Family
The feline family is a varied bunch, from the tiny black-footed cat to the grand lion. All are hunters, armed with sharp claws and teeth for catching prey.
One day, while hunting, the cat family stumbled upon a group of mice. The mice were scared yet intrigued—they’d never seen cats so big before.
As the cats readied to strike, the tiniest kitten piped up.
"Wait," the kitten said. "Instead of eating the mice, why not play a game with them?"
The other cats were stunned. Playing with prey was a new idea.
"What game?" one cat asked.
"How about tag?" the kitten offered. "Or maybe hide-and-seek?"
The mice, relieved, agreed with enthusiasm. They loved games and didn’t want to be lunch.
"Alright," a mouse said. "Let’s play tag."
For hours, cats and mice played, forgetting hunting altogether. By day’s end, they were tired but joyful.
As they parted, the cats and mice bid farewell, all agreeing it had been a fantastic time.
